Parent guide

Child profiles, Family plan limits, home printing, and sharing with school.

About 7 min read

This guide is for parents and carers generating personalised ADHD support resources for your child.

Set your view to "For my child"

  1. Open Account.
  2. Under Default view, choose For my child (parent).
  3. Labels change across the app: child instead of profile, children on the dashboard.

This keeps language age-appropriate in forms and buttons.

Plans and profile limits

PlanChild profilesResources
Free1 child1 watermarked resource (lifetime)
Family ($9.99/mo)Up to 3 children10 resources per month

If you hit the profile limit, you'll see a message when adding a child. Upgrade from Pricing or Account → Subscription.

Add a child profile

  1. From Dashboard, click New child.
  2. Complete the five-step wizard:
    • About — your child's name and age.
    • Struggles — pick up to five (homework battles, emotional meltdowns, mornings, etc.).
    • Daily context — school year, siblings, activities, what evenings look like.
    • Preferences — what helps them feel supported; one concrete goal.
    • Theme — pick a colour they'll recognise on printables.
  3. Save — you'll land on their page ready to generate resources.

Tip: Involve your child in struggles and preferences where you can. The content reads more naturally when it reflects their words.

  4. Download PDF and print on A4.

Fridge tip: Routine cards and small posters work best printed on card stock or laminated.

Multiple children

On the Family plan you can maintain up to three separate child profiles. Each has their own intake, theme, and resource library. Switch between them from the dashboard.

Sharing with school or other adults

  • Print and hand physical copies to teachers or carers.
  • Use Share on a resource page to create a view-only link (optional).
  • The How to support me letter is designed for exactly this — plain language for adults who support your child.

SimplyADHD is coaching support, not medical advice. It does not replace diagnosis, therapy, or medication decisions.

Account settings

  • Account → Default view — switch back to "For me" if you also maintain a personal profile.
  • Account → Subscription — upgrade, cancel, or open the billing portal.
  • Delete a child's resources or profiles from the resource or profile page when no longer needed.
